Axcell 650 Catamaran Sport Yacht to Highlight New Boats Premiering In Miami

The new AXCELL 650 Catamaran Sport Yacht makes its Miami Debut

25 January 2011: Launched by MACS Research, Inc., this exciting 65’ cat is the first of its kind, sporting a wealth of design innovation, most notably the internationally patented, proprietary HybridAir™ Technology developed over an extensive 13-year development period.

“We believe the AXCELL 650 sets an extraordinary new standard and benchmark in the global marine marketplace,” said MACS Research founder and president Bruce Barsumian.

Besides its radical, technologically advanced hull design, the AXCELL 650 features exceptionally clean, Euro-style cruiser lines unique to a catamaran, brilliantly executed by award-winning mega yacht designer J.C. Espinosa of Espinosa, Inc. Every inch of space has been detailed and maximized to produce a high level of motor yacht-level luxury featuring a rich blend of woods, leathers, fabrics and textiles.

From the expansive open salon, to the formal dining and lounging area, forward master with en suite head, twin guest staterooms, portside galley, and fully windowed pilothouse with 360 degree panoramic views featuring port, starboard and aft drop windows for a airy, open feel, along with a huge sunroof, this sport yacht reveals a wealth of pleasing accommodations to thrill the demanding yachtsman. Other bonus features include a fully garaged 16’ R.I.B. tender, twin 1150 Caterpillar turbo diesels and distinctive custom signature exterior gills that add both style and functional performance.

“There simply isn’t another sport yacht in the world like the new AXCELL 650,” said Barsumian. “As a boater myself of many years, I worked with J.C. to ensure that the 650’s design met the stringent and exacting demands that I felt were sorely missing in the marketplace. This luxury sport catamaran is designed explicitly to deliver the latest cutting-edge marine technology, coupled with cost-efficient fuel operation, superior handling, legitimate live aboard comfort and a cruising ride that is simply unmatched.”

The AXCELL 650 MSRP comes standard at $3.695 million, with a variety of customizable options. The yacht will be displayed at the Miami Yacht & Brokerage Show, Slip 411 on Collins Avenue. Advance appointments and demo rides are available; contact Bruce Barsumian at (931) 261-2261 for private bookings. For more information, visit
