Opening of the Salon Atlantique du Multicoque is Only Days Away!
11 April 2010: The official opening of the Salon Atlantique du Multicoque is only 2 days away! This is a status report of the event, which will take place between the 15th and the 18th of April 2010 in front of the Cité de la Voile–Éric Tabarly.
Thanks to an excellent and efficient teamwork between partners, exhibitors and organisers of the Show, this first edition offers a unique and remarkable programme. Quayside moorings are all reserved with more than
50 multihulls on show. There will be, on shore and afloat, more than 110 exhibitors. All the top names in this industry are represented. The Show has attracted international support from the very start with the
confirmed bookings of visitors from all over Europe and the United States.
Now is the time to take stock of the situation by reviewing key figures relating to the Friendship association, the exhibitors, animations,
conferences and practical information.
More than 50 multihulls afloat – sailing and power catamarans and trimarans equipped with fuel
engines or electric motors.
The smallest is 6 metre (20 foot) long
The biggest is 22.70 metre (74 foot) long

3 Halls – N° 2 Hall is the “Architecture, Design and Innovation”area, which will accommodate naval architects, designers and new technologies. N° 3 Hall is the home of the “Multihull Owners Club” where conferences and receptions will be held.
20 Gardens on the esplanade
The Show is partnered by the Friendship International association. One Euro for each entry goes to the association, which helps the victims of the 2007 Tsunami build ambulance catamarans for the people of
Bangladesh. Seafarers’ solidarity has its true meaning.

Events – Animations
Polar Odyssey by Lemer Pax: The 18-metre sun-powered trimaran Solar Odyssey developed by the company Lemer Pax, will be exhibited on the square in front of the Cité de la Voile. Then, Solar Odyssey will try to beat the Atlantic record before going on a sun-powered CO2=0 round-the-world trip.
Globe2Child: Pascal Bouche and his family will cast off from the quay in front of the Show on Sunday 18 April at 10.00 for a 7-year round-the-world cruise promoting solidarity between all the world’s children.
Golden Oldies: Former offshore racing multihulls, enthusiastically maintained by keen sailors, will race during the day in the harbour in front of the Show and offer the spectators a magnificent sight.
There will be Éric Tabarly’s Côte d’Or 2 invited by the Cité de la Voile, My Way, a high performance racing catamaran (ex-Alinghi), Hydrofolie, a 40-feet foil trimaran and M-pulse, a 46-foot trimaran (14.20m.
Conferences on the great multihull voyages: Organised by the magazine Multicoques Mag, conferences will take place every morning from 10.00 to 11.00 in the “Club du Multicoque”area on the subject of the great multihull voyages. The magazine will celebrate its 25 years of publication
during the Show.
Eurolarge: On the 15th April 2010 – The Multihull: Tomorrow’s boat? –
A professional day proposed by Eurolarge Innovation. A day of conferences dedicated to the multihull in all its aspects: from high performance offshore racing yachts, to cruising multihulls, this style of naval architecture suggests also what tomorrow’s boats will be like.
Prestigious contributors are expected.
BSM Production: Film show (everyday from 18.00 to 19.00 in the “Club du Multicoque”area and for the rest of the day on SONY screens in the Showground), of subjects filmed during the Show by BSM production.
BMW: Presentation of the Series 5 around a stand on the Esplanade – cars will be put at the disposal of partners.
SONY: Installation and supply of a flat screen network on the Showground and in the“Club du Multicoque”area.

The Multihull Atlantic Boatshow will take place from the 15th
to the 18th April 2010 in Lorient in front of the Cité de la Voile
Éric Tabarly. This world first event will regroup all the activities
relating to cruising, racing, sailing and power multihulls. It is a
golden opportunity to welcome all multihull owners, buyers and
professionals at the same venue.
